Born in 2000, I am a very active and social person who strives to always do my best even in overwhelming situations. I have a burning passion for design, especially illustrations and pattern making.
Since a young age I've always enjoyed drawing, painting and creating. The name Idabida, actually originates from my childhood, it's my nickname that my mom has used as long as I can recall.
When I was 9 years old I already knew, that this is what I wanted to work with. In 2019 I got accepted to graphic design studies at Novia in Jakobstad and this was one of the best things that could ever happen to me!
I have now graduated in the spring of 2023 and eager of seeking challenges and adventure!
I am a happy designer who loves waking up every day knowing that I'm on the right path to fulfill my dream: working with what I love.

I founded my own business Idabida in 2017 when I didn't get a summer job leading to in the summer of 2017 I opened my own summer café at Strömsö in Vaasa. The café was up and running the summer of 2016 until 2019.
Idabida Vintage 2020 - 2021.
Ran my own small vintage boot at he recycle center of Minimossen in Vaasa. Worked with mending and selling vintage clothing.
Idabida design 2019 - present.
As of now I'm working as a freelance graphic designer and subcontractor for e wide range of local businesses in Ostrobothnia.

In the fall of 2021 I moved to Helsinki for a while to do my internship at the talented Sanna Mander. An amazing experience where I got to deepen my knowledge about illustration and self-employment.

I have a personal love to Marimekko as a brand and their history, so doing my internship at the heart of Marimekko in Herttoniemi – Helsinki, was an absolute dream!
I worked with their Visual Brand Design team and learnt a lot about teamwork, how to be a confident designer and how the work flow works for a big company.

EXCHANGE STUDIES
Politecnico di Milano – 2022 - 2023
I did a 6 month exchange in Milan, Italy, at Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano). The University ranks 5th in QS World University Rankings 2022 - Art & Design.
I studied communication design amongst a lot of talented people and I came back to Finland with a lot more experience, confidence and with a big love for Italian design and food.
